Claims Investigator - Marsh - Belfast

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Handler to join our Corporate Claims Advocacy team. The team is part of Claims Solutions within Marsh Advisory and provides a variety of claims advocacy services to Marsh's corporate client base, supporting clients through any losses they may have suffered and providing claims advocacy advice on more complex claims.

Marsh Advisory Services sits alongside the core insurance broking business and provides Strategic and Operational Risk advice to the world's largest companies. We are a professional services firm consisting of consultants, actuaries, accountants, and ex-lawyers.

What you will be rewarded with?

We will count on you to:
  • Manage an allocation of clients, ensuring each client receives the optimum claims service from its insurers and other service providers.
  • Establish effective claims management procedures and provide insightful analysis into the client's total cost of claims.
  • Help clients to understand the root cause of their losses, why they have happened and what they can do to minimise the possibility of them happening again.
  • Identify the need and where appropriate deliver project work at the request of your clients.
  • You will be responsible for the accurate and timely resolution of third party motor claims, from notification to closure in addition to assisting with EL/PL claims handling where required.


What you need to have:
  • Previous experience in a similar, customer service led role
  • The ability to impart information which is often technical in nature.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills to work with clients, insurers, loss adjusters, TPAs and lawyers.
